I know this is a classic and a lovely story, but I struggled with some of the language of the day and ideas of the day. I realized it was written shortly after the civil war, so ideas of women were different then. I'm certainly not a feminist, but struggled with the ideas of if you darn your socks and keep a nice home you can learn to love your man and have a happy life
